We just love eating at Brookfields! The food quality is superb and they take much pride in their establishment. Our server (Bela, I believe) had her hands full when we walked in. They sat three tables in a row and a fourth right after we were seated. But this young woman was on top of things and managed beautifully. I ordered the value plate of Garrett's Chopped Steak that came with a choice of warm cornbread or sourdough. It was more than enough food for me and I have a good appetite! You get what you pay for, here. Good portions and delicious meals. A note~When I was pregnant with my first child way back in 1995/96, this Brookfields provided me with a job that I desperately needed. I was surrounded in an atmosphere that felt like family. It's amazing to see some of the faces I remember who still work there, and to me that's a testament of a business who nurtures their employees. Can't wait for our next meal out on the town!

I came in this morning for the freshly made corned beef hash, and eggs. Got a biscuit on the side and coffee. The food was good, the service was outstanding. After I left, I called and spoke to the manager to let him know what an excellent job the staff had done.

My husband and I went to Brookfields for breakfast. We usually come here for either breakfast or lunch. We were greeted by our server, Brooke. We have been customers of this location for over 20 years. We love the variety of the menu and creative breakfast and lunch specials they offer. Brooke was very helpful with questions regarding our orders. We were served our beverages right away. The meal came in record time, as the kitchen seemed very busy. Brooke brought the additional condiments we use (hot sauce, ketchup and honey for my tea. We enjoyed our meals and Brooke was very attentive to check and see if we needed anything else throughout the meal. We ended up ordering a slice of pie and scone to take home for evening treat. I also needed a "to go" box for my leftovers. Brooke got the desserts ready, brought me a container, and packaged it up for us. We love this restaurant and we have come to know many of the staff. We always enjoy our visits, and we are always happy to have Brooke as our server. She makes the visit special.

I had been recommended to try Brookfields by a family member, and was very surprised by what I found. My group had a rough start; it took us a good ten minutes before anyone even stopped by our table to ask what we wanted to drink, and then another few minutes to get our drinks (water, fountain soda, and lemonade). But once we got going, the service was actually fantastic. Our waitress was so sweet and happy to help us out as we were navigating the menu for the first time. I also observed the manager going around to tables and chatting with tables he clearly has gotten to know (which if you have seen some of my other reviews, you know rapport is a big deal for me). He even came to our table and checked on us. I love when managers are actively involved in what is happening in their restaurants. The food is not exactly spectacular, and neither is the ambiance. It is a typical diner-style restaurant. You can get breakfast all day, and there is a decent variety to choose from for lunch and dinner. For the highlights: -I don't usually like cornbread (specifically the texture). I loved the cornbread at Brookfields! I would get it again. -I love the idea of sweet potato pancakes, and they were very tasty. -I went with my grandma, who got the tapioca pudding free for being a senior, but didn't want it, so I got to enjoy it. I am hit and miss with tapioca (it has to be the right texture and flavor), and this was perfect. -The food does not come with much seasoning on it at all, which for the group I was with, was perfect with our varying flavor needs (one person can't have pepper, the other can't have too much salt). They have salt, pepper, and even a house seasoned salt (available for purchase) on the table so you can season your food to taste and dietary needs. -Some of their main plates are available in value sizes for value prices (aka smaller plates and lower prices). Two people got the turkey plate but each in a different size, and both had leftovers, so depending on your appetite or if you need leftovers, you definitely have some good options here. Overall, Brookfields has great food for all, great service, and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely be back!
